USEP Update – Monday, August 9th, 2021

USEP AGREES TO HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR BOTH INSTRUCTIONAL AND SRP:

Highlights:
**
The District will continue to monitor federal, state and local health department guidance and incorporate them as necessary;
**
Social Distancing will still be emphasized where possible;
** Faculty and employee meetings may be held remotely where possible and a remote option will be provided to employees when possible;
**
Each classroom will be supplied with appropriate cleaning supplies to be used at the  teachers’ discretion;
** Mask protections will be governed by the CDC, state and local health departments and are not mandated at this time;
**
Leave time associated with COVID-related exposure - we have again negotiated to have an additional 20 days of “administrative leave” available to employees who are fully vaccinated.
Employees will be offered “remote” work if it is possible. Other eligibility criteria exists and we refer you to the full MOU for details;

TARGETED ATTENDANCE INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR DRIVERS AND RELIEF DRIVERS:

Highlights:
**
On a positive note, we were able to reach agreement on an Attendance Incentive for Bus Drivers. The Transportation Attendance Incentive Program (TAIP) will provide a monetary payment for each quarter that drivers meet attendance guidelines. Unlike the previous attendance incentives, each quarter can be earned independent of the previous quarter. Specifics will be forthcoming on our website.

EARLY ENROLLMENT 2021:
** To help organize new members, USEP is running an “EARLY ENROLLMENT” incentive program. This program will run through the end of August! Each new member recruited will receive a $50 incentive check.
This is our way of saying “THANKS FOR SUPPORTING USEP!”

COVID-19 UPDATE:
DUE TO COVID POSITIVE CASES ON THE RISE, USEP ENCOURAGES ALL BUILDING REPS TO CONDUCT WORKSITE MEETINGS BY ZOOM FOR THE TIME BEING.
Let’s all do our part to try to keep everyone as safe as possible!

The USEP Offices will be closed to walk-in traffic. Any member needing to meet with his/her Business Rep or any office employee must call and schedule an appointment first!
