U.S.E.P. APPRECIATES ALL EDUCATION EMPLOYEES

As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, USEP wants to say a VERY BIG THANK YOU to all education employees. As the old saying goes, it takes a village... Well, you are the village. No matter what your role, from bus driver, FNS worker, maintenance, custodial, classroom assistant, office worker, teacher, or any number of our other resource specialists, you all make a difference each day in our students’ lives!

I have stated to our School Board and District staff, “The only way our students get the opportunity for a world class education is if we recruit and retain highly qualified professionals in front of them.” You are the ones that make a difference that inspires our leaders of tomorrow, today.

USEP thanks those of you who have made a commitment to this organization with your support. We have worked hard this past year for both SRP and Instructional to do what is fair and right for each of you. We understand your frustration with the myriad of legislative changes imposed on us from Legislators who endeavor to empower charter schools over our neighborhood Public Schools. We continue our attempt to change the culture both here in our District and also in Tallahassee.

In light of legislation that dictates our future, we ask that all employees consider joining with USEP to make a stronger voice to be heard here and in Tallahassee. We will continue to work for you in your working conditions, benefits and salaries. Please stand with us as the professional organization that supports all employees in our District.

As we wind down the year, I remind you to finish strong! Enjoy your time off this summer to rest your mind and body. We’ll see you again in August, but until then, “Thank you for all you do!”
