Rep Rally 2017

Yesterday, August 1st, USEP held its annual Rep Rally at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was great to see the 2017-18 Building Reps as they prepare for the new school year. There were many familiar faces, but also some new faces, and we’re so glad that everyone had the chance to participate in training sessions and receive the latest information about contract bargaining, legislative actions, and organizing strategies.

This year’s Rep Rally was one to be remembered. Woodrow Samuel, from FEA, provided our Reps with information about HB 7069, the controversial education funding bill signed into law in June. In addition, Kurt Browning, the Superintendent of Pasco County Schools and all 5 members of the Pasco County school Board were there to visit and speak with our Reps.

We are always overjoyed to see so many members who are willing to donate their time and energy to make USEP a great organization. We want to thank the Reps who were able to attend. We also want to thank our special guests – Woodrow Samuel from FEA, Kurt Browning, Allen Altman, Cynthia Armstrong, Steve Luikart, Alison Crumbley, and Colleen Beaudoin.
