Legislative Update – Week 6
LEGISLATIVE UPDATE FOR WEEK OF MARCH 2-6, 2020
We have heard that a massive education train bill is being formed which includes a massive expansion of charters, a tax give away for charters, putting cameras in ESE classrooms ( a pilot program for Volusia and Broward), changes to seclusion and restraint processes, a new pre-apprenticeship program, changes to virtual education programs, changes in testing, changes in the CAPE program, changes in Dual enrollment, repeal of the Best and Brightest program and contains language on teacher salaries.
