Know What’s On the Table Bargaining Meeting

If you have been monitoring contract negotiations, you know that USEP passed our initial economic proposals earlier this month. The Board’s counter-proposal was presented as “a package” that included a move to eliminate employees’ Early Retirement Monthly Benefit. Since then, USEP has been inundated with calls of concern and confusion related specifically to this benefit.

To help answer some of the questions surrounding Early Retirement and to explore responses to the Board’s counter-proposal, USEP is hosting a “Know What’s on the Table” Bargaining Update Meeting tomorrow evening from 5:30 to 7:30.

The event will be held at USEP’s office (21322 Lake Patience Road, Land O’Lakes, FL 34638), and all teachers and SRP are invited, union members and non-union members alike.

Attending the meeting is a great way to get involved with contract negotiations, so we strongly encourage everyone with questions and opinions to attend.
